Purdue connections
We have just returned home from the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. The games were awesome and we were all very proud of our team's effort. We had two big wins and now getting ready for the Regionals.
After the Purdue game, a young woman approached me and told me of her battles with breast cancer. She had lost all her hair, but it did not make her lose her smile. She was in recovery and cancer free!! What a wonderful feeling I had walking away from her thinking how honored I am to hear such heartwarming stories. If I can make a survivor smile, then I know I can truly make a difference in other people's lives.
I will continue to spread the word on my basketball platform. Because I know with the Lady Vols' exposure, we can bright another light to our battle against breast cancer.
